I think you picked a great place to start because it really does begin with the students. We don't/won't find ourselves using technology because it is there; we are/will be using it to adapt to the needs of our students. This setting is much closer to a reality than most think. We probably only differ in one aspect. I see the future in education becoming more game-like and employing more gaming strategies. Instead of my kids all searching for the same information, I would have them investigate different aspects of the same topic and build a wiki from there.
